Yemma Goods Handmade Moroccan Thuya Wood Burl Boxes are handmade from the rare thuya wood, which comes from the thuya tree, that beautiful tree that only exists in a limited region in the atlas mountains of Morocco.

After the box is assembled, the artisans carve it and place black cedar wood accents and mother of pearl, which are circles or other shapes cut from the sea shells, then placed into the box. Then the whole box faces are sanded with different degrees of sandpaper until it is all smoothened out. After that the artisan adds the finish on multiples layers until the glossy look is attended.

The box is intended for storing jewelry, keepsakes and other valuables, has a 3 compartments tray and a whole compartment underneath.
